Back to the blogosphere. Nice to meet you.

It's been awhile since I've been in the blogosphere. As a writer at least. I still try to get my frivolous daily consumption of fashion blogs. They really enlighten me on just how much I'm schlepping my way out the door and forgetting my Dior. Oh wait. The only Dior I've got is in a makeup form, probably from a stocking stuffer when Santa was feeling generous. The point is, I've missed it. I've missed typing things people only see virtually. Many people I won't ever meet. And if I do know you, thank you for taking the time to read more about my life. Lord knows I've lit up my Facebook and Instagram feeds with photos of Scarlet, ad nauseam.  So if you're here, you aren't sick of me. And if you're sick of me, I don't know why you're here.

My old blog was a way to document my wacky sense of style and my journey through motherhood. I was lucky to have a willing photographer and a few scraps of extra time. Now I'm on the other side of the camera, taking photos to accompany the articles I write for a small town newspaper. With a full-time job and a two-year-old wild baby girl, I don't have much time for perfecting accessories. I've got time to swipe mascara on the drive to work. Sometimes. I doubt I have time to blog. But here's to endeavoring. And I've got mandatory down time for a few weeks. More on that later.

This new blog. I don't know just what it will be. A few doses of my wacky wardrobe, to be sure. A few pictures of Scarlet, to be sure. Writing. In my own voice. Not for newspaper and not in AP style, that's for damn sure. This blog will also be a bit of my life. Which is awfully messy at times and seemingly idyllic at other times.

So get cozy. Stay awhile. Let me know how you're doing. After all, the joy of a blog is knowing someone else is out there, behind a computer screen in bed, reading a stranger's thoughts that somehow clarify their own thoughts. And that's just marvelous.

Ta ta for now.

Scarlet there on the left. The cutest munchkin on the planet. (I'm not just coming from the mothering bias. Gallup conducted a poll. Scarlet is the cutest kid on the planet.) That there on the right is dear old me. We are indeed at Chuck E. Cheese. #Likeamomboss.
